Paradise Hills 2019 Review

Paradise Hills is a doozy of a film that stars Emma Roberts in a commanding role and she delivers in a huge way. This is in the vein of films like Midsommar and The Wickerman all mixed in with the classic tv show The Prisoner.

Awkwafina is a scene stealer and a pure knockout in her part that will for sure possibly get her more horror and psychological parts. The most surprising actress in this movie is Milla Jovovich coming hot off the universally hated Hellboy reboot just dominates every piece of dialogue she’s given even with the occasional scenery chewing she’s fantastic and demented as ever in my opinion she needs to stick to roles like this.

The synopsis of the film is Young women must band together to escape from a seemingly idyllic island that holds a sinister secret.

It pays off very quickly it doesn’t waste a lot of time and is a hell of a film that will make my top 10 independent horror films of the year at some point of the year
