The Siren is a new horror film from Dark Sky Films whom I truly adore as a company. To me, they’ve always been what A24 is becoming in the horror genre. However, I do have a mixed bag about their latest release The Siren.
The Siren plays almost like a Brothers Grimm tale, the main problem I have with The Siren is not it’s acting or directing but it’s the pacing of The Siren is where it has a lot to overcome and may cause a lot of people to turn it off, especially nowadays where we have a ton of movies with jump scares and a little bit more action this generation has grown accustomed to.
The cinematography is flat out gorgeous, and this is one thing I can highlight the film I really enjoyed. The acting was overall decent enough but not anything to really write home about ether.
