The Tax Collector 4K review

The Tax Collector 4K looks stunning but the sound transfer is severely lacking in quality here. Kind of disappointing with how it sounds like the movie deserves much better for the big movie atmosphere David Ayer creates even if it is cartoonish and extremely campy.

Bobby Soto carries this movie which is also a disappointment the way Shia went all out for this movie pulling a James Franco and some of us have to wonder if it was worth it at all. The dialogue in The Tax Collector is very campy which threw a lot of people for a loop upon initial release.

This is after all David Ayer’s motive, just look at his overrated Suicide Squad upon his other films it’s uncanny to me he recycles the same tone and script and changes characters. The violence of the cartel is also uneven throughout the film, which is laughable.

Overall the movie is a misfire but has its moments, however, I doubt a lot of people will enjoy it and made up their minds already when the cancel culture tried to cancel it before it was even released.

Overall grade for the 4K: 2/5 stars
