Chick Fight simply put, is a mess. Albeit a very watchable mess. Malin Ackerman’s career has seems to be going downhill , and in a hurry. Chick Fight won’t help her, maybe it could appear in a future episode of the hilarious podcast How did This Get Made?
There are two very admirable performances here, due mainly because they knew what kind of movie they were in and chewed up the scenery quite well and were over-the-top, that being Bella Thorne and Alec Baldwin. Yeah, I understand the hate Bella has been getting lately, she’s a bold and unique personality.
The script and plot are atrocious, there’s some really bad dialogue in Chick Fight that makes seem like a written for a TV movie, and with its production value it very well could’ve been made for a channel like FX. I’d say steer clear of renting Chick Fight and wait for it on a streaming service.
