The Mauritanian is still one of my favorite movies of the past year and it really is a shame it did not get any Oscar love that it should have. Now that it is time for its Blu-Ray and DVD release it is time the world got to see the beauty of the story behind The Mauritanian.
Starring a stunning Jodie Foster and a transforming Tahar Rahim an exceptional Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie moves at a Swift and fast pace while telling an interesting detailed story at a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes move like 90 minutes.

The transfer of the picture is stunning in 1080p 24 frames per second is crystal clear and does not miss a beat. The audio transfer will also blow you away as it does have theater likeliness to it that booms from your home theater set up. The producers of the Blu-Ray did a fantastic job with the transfers. The main problem is with the special features.
It has generic features including the usual deleted scenes running under 5 minutes all played together. An alternate opening that does not add much or change much to the story. It also has a feature based around the real story that inspired The Mauritanian.

Overall the Blu-Ray of The Mauritanian is a solid transfer when it comes to the audio and picture. When it comes to the special features it is more of a mixed bag.
