Here’s the thing about Viva, it’s ultimate sleaze satire and parody of soft-core porn like movies. If you’re into stuff like Orgazmo, Viva should be up your alley. Although it is not on the same level of Orgazmo it’s similar in taste.
The performances are very self aware on what they’re trying to accomplish and it works to their advantage. Anna Biller gives a cult iconic worthy performance as Viva. I would actually love to hear from actual models what she got right with her satirical performance.
The main fault to Viva is the runtime, at a lengthy two hours it should be trimmed down(no pun intended) to a solid 90 minutes because the first 45 minutes work so well. Then it drags along.
If you wanna have a good time with a film that will remind you of the perfect sleazy drive-in late night then Viva is for you!
