Cha Cha Real Smooth is an absolutely heartwarming movie of the year, featuring knock out performances from Cooper Raiff who should find himself in a position to be nominated for a Golden-Globe nomination for best actor in Best Actor in a comedy for his portrayal of Andrew, who seems to a be a down on his luck person who may have peaked in high school. Now playing the prodigal son part and returning home to his mom, brother, and his mom’s boyfriend who he can’t seem to stand.

Dakota Johnson also gives one of the best performances of her career as the mother Domino who has an autistic child played to perfection by Vanessa Burghardt in a star making role that should get some much needed award love, even if it is just in the indie world, Leslie Mann is also fantastic outside of her husband’s Judd Apatow world, where Judd seems to underwrite her roles, she shines bright in Cha Cha Real Smooth.

Cha Cha Real Smooth, never misses a beat with the emotional powerhouse that it is along with also being a laugh riot the next second, it has real range that will make movie fans happy, especially those that want more inclusion to be shown in movies with an important character dealing with disabilities that aren’t written in a stereotypical way.
