All-time classic Reservoir Dogs finally comes to 4K, and I was lucky enough to get the exclusive best buy steelbook to review. It’s a glorious transfer, from the opening frame you can see all the hard labor that went into delivering this 4K. The movie itself introduced us to the mastermind filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, who has since become my favorite modern director.

The only downside of this 4K is the 4K disc itself has no special features, and I’ve gotten to the point where I hate switching out the 4K for the Blu-ray disc just to view the special features. The special features aren’t necessarily stacked either, the performances are captivating. Especially between Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel. It features the smart dialogue Quentin has become famous for. The audio transfer is also a knockout, at 5.1 Dolby True HD, it would be nice for some of these oldies to have Dolby Atmos tracks instead of the usual Dolby Audio.

It is a disc worth buying for die-hard collectors. The special features won’t knock your socks off. Everything else about this release will. Overall, I highly recommend this release.
